Hi all,
I'm currently participating in a conference exploring catholic identity in schools.
I have just listened to a keynote presentations from Bishop Vincent Long. He spoke of the need for re-imagining in our church and in our schools. He called for a 'new model' in society (what he called the care economy) which would see a more inclusive society. New wine in new wine-skins.
Picking up on Pope Francis who said he 'preferred a church which is bruised, hurting and dirty because it has been out on the streets,' Bishop Long called for us all to be Prophets of Hope.
Perhaps this is our work as we educate for hope in our Sion schools.
