The biggest problem with the game is the reliance on previous versions of the game engine EXE files. These do not work in the same places now, and so add-on managers have to readjust to the new structure if they are to work. Luckily, there is a simple way of getting round this, and that is to download the manual (usually available here), look up the locations of all the old files, then search the Internet for a copy of the missing files.
