The other day, I read this so thought I'd share it.
"In the loneliness of lockdowns, looking
out on empty streets or buses and
trains, it is no wonder that there was a feeling of
isolation and despair. But reaching out to others is a
sign of hope, of transformation. And that can bring
out the best in each of us. And the best is there,
waiting to get out onto those empty streets!
So Christmas is a reminder that we have news of
great joy, for everyone. A Saviour is born. What does
that mean – a person who can save us from
ourselves, one who brings a message of
transformation and hope, one who shows us the
transformative power of love and service of others.
And surely that is a message of hope and of joy, a
message for today."
