Educating for HOPE has always been an important issue here in Brazil as we face great social inequalities. Education is powerful, and HOPE makes us believe in a better future ahead.
Looking ahead to the future with hope and optimism. Educating for hope and maintaining faith in God and taking comfort in the plan he has for us (Group: Nicole V + Helen D)
We need to give students hope. Hope for them & in them. As a community we want to have hope through education, and the hope that faith can bring. It needs to be a holistic education. We want to support students to know and understand that they can be agents of hope in the world, they make a difference, they have a role.
Instilling crucial values in our students so that they can use these values in future flourishing and searching for hope
Hope gets me out of the bed in the morning - hope that my day may have joy filled moments
Teachers can inspire hope, ignite the imagination, and instill a love of learning.
Hope is the virtue that survives our bad days, our bad weeks, and even our bad months. We may be estranged from it for a while, but we come back to it. That's why it survives. And the absence makes the feeling even stronger. Education is a long game - maybe we need to be more comfortable with the long term journey instead of getting lost in the short terms distractions.
As educators we aim to shine a light on the positives of this world.

When faced with indifference we have to look at the Sion Charisms of peace, love and justice.
At first I was worried that my response was considered to be naive or clique. I believe that Educating for Hope is about creating open, positive and creative thinkers to create solutions for a better tomorrow. Solving issues that plague our world. Issues with equality, equity, global warming etc.
Hope provides the motivation to keep pushing through in difficult times and to strive for change. With generosity and dedication, people can realise their goals and dreams.
Empowering students to feel they have the skills to reach for hope and take action on the things that matter to them.
Educating for hope is educating students so they come to understand that they can make a difference to the world. However big or small.
Educating for hope - no time is more important than today, especially in our current climate. We understand that many may be low for various reasons. Having hope is like 'the light at the end of the tunnel' and may be just what is needed to 'change a mindset'. Let's hope our education can inspire all that things can get better.
Reinforces that hope is universal to all, it is motivating and positive. Necessary in fact.
